Auto-Ped Accident
Foothill Dr. and Wakara Way

The victim was walking home after work when she was struck by a truck. According to the driver he did not see the victim in the crosswalk. The victim was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.



4:58 p.m.
Traffic Stop/Seized Guns
1665 W. Indiana Ave.

An officer observed a Chrysler Pacifica parked at the African Market on Redwood Road and found it had been involved in an argument involving a gun earlier in the day. The vehicle drove away, and the officer initiated a traffic stop. During a search of the vehicle officers located two loaded handguns, an airsoft gun and narcotics. Officers also located property which had been taken in an earlier robbery. Maata Tuli, 33, and Penisimani Halai, 38, were booked into jail for possession of a weapon by a restricted person, possession of narcotics with intent to distribute, and possession of narcotic equipment.
