9:19 p.m.
Warrant Service / Significant Exposure
1050 E. South Temple St.

An officer was searching a suspect that he had placed under arrest for a warrant. Officer was utilizing protective gloves and asked if he had any needles on him, to which he stated he did not. Officer was searching the left front pant pockets and was stuck by an un-capped needle. Exposure protocol was enacted, and the officer was treated at a local hospital. The suspect refused consent to a blood draw to determine if there were blood borne pathogens. A warrant was obtained for the blood draw. Curtis Lewis Anthony, 32 was transported to jail for various warrants, one being sex offender in protected area.


9:30 p.m.
Occupied Stolen Vehicle
1300 S. Major St.

Officers were in the area of 1300 S. Main St. when they observed an occupied stolen vehicle. The vehicle left the area before it could be stopped. Additional officers responded to try and locate the vehicle. Approximately 30 minutes later, an officer located the vehicle traveling on 1300 South. A stop was conducted at 1300 South Major Street. The car had 3 occupants. The driver, Jose Toledo, 35 was transported to jail for possession of a stolen vehicle. The front seat passenger, Jason Bates 62, was arrested for possession of heroin, methamphetamine, and marijuana. The back-seat passenger was released at the scene.
