SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department receives hundreds of calls for service each day. Not all calls result in a report or arrest. Suspicious Death
456 W. 1700 S.

Officers were notified of a deceased person in an area where homeless are known to camp. There was some trauma to the body so homicide detectives were called out. The investigation is ongoing.

8:53 p.m.
Aggravated Assault
1795 W. Shannon Cir.

Officers responded on reports of two males with weapons chasing someone near this address. When officers arrived, the suspects had already fled the area. Two victims were located but both declined to provide any information about what had occurred. One victim transported to a local hospital with a laceration. Witnesses indicated the suspects were possibly Polynesian males.

11:13 p.m.
1580 S. Main St.

A security guard reported a male trespassing at a construction site. When officers arrived the suspect resisted attempts to take him into custody. With assistance from the security guard the male was detained. Marcus Richards, 36, was booked into jail for trespassing, resisting arrest, possession of another’s financial cards and possession of drug paraphernalia.
