The victim was in the area when he was assaulted with a blunt object. The victim began to defend himself when his wallet was taken, and money was removed. The suspect is described as a male Black adult in his 30; s last seen wearing a long sleeve gray shirt, black sweatpants, black baseball hat and gold teeth. The victim received medical treatment on the scene.

Hit & Run/Search Warrant

Officers responded on a hit and run at this address; the victim provided suspect information which led officers to a residence. Once there they encountered a female at the residence who admitted being in the vehicle but was uncooperative. Michelle Mejicanos, 24, was arrested and booked into jail for obstruction, failure to identify, and false information to a police officer. A search warrant was written on the house and the driver was cited for hit and run and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Occupied Stolen Vehicle/Weapons Offense/Stolen Police Vehicle
996 S. Redwood Rd.

Officers located a stolen motorcycle and this address. A male had been observed trying to start it with something other than a key. The male was handcuffed and placed in the rear seat of a police vehicle. Officers were in the process of obtaining a search warrant for a separate vehicle when the male was able to get his hands in front of him, open the rear door and exit the vehicle. He then entered the front seat and drove off in the police vehicle. A short time later officers located the vehicle in a nearby neighborhood. The male was located a short distance away hiding in a backyard. Sione Takai, 34, was booked into jail on numerous charges including possession of a firearm by a restricted person, parole violation, felony theft, escape and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

A passerby reported a male was injured in the roadway at this address. It appears the male crashed his bicycle and suffered a non-life-threatening injury.
