Burglary

The victims reported that their storage unit had been burglarized. They partnered with the management of the storage unit and identified a possible suspect. Police were called and were able to write a warrant for the suspects storage unit. Several stolen items were recovered. The suspect has not been located at this time, but a warrant will be issued for his arrest.

Possession of a Firearm
996 S Redwood Rd

Officers spotted Vilaketi Bloomfield, 24 who has outstanding warrants at the K&K Market. When they attempted to make contact with the Bloomfield he fled into the store and hid in a closet. He was eventually located and taken into custody. He was in possession of a handgun as well as heroin and paraphernalia. He was taken to jail on related charges.

Robbery
2885 S Highland Dr.

A black male adult wearing a black jacket and blue jeans entered the store, produced a weapon and demanded the cash from the register. The suspect fled the store getting into a gray Mazda. The cashier suffered a medical incident related to the stress of the holdup and was taken to a local hospital.

Shots Fired
1309 W. 700 S.

Officers were flagged down on a report of shots fired. The witness stated that an occupant of a tan 2 door car fired several shots in the air. Officers located several shell casings. There were no reports of damage or injuries.
1:13 a.m.
Stolen Vehicle
850 N Wooden Lane
20-149868
An officer noticed a stolen vehicle and attempted to stop it. The vehicle fled but was located unoccupied a short distance away. Officers saw a garage door close on a house as they were arriving on scene. Containment was set up on the house and the suspect was quickly located. DJ Chanthasack 27, was taken into custody and booked on related charges.
