2:52 p.m.
Occupied Stolen Vehicle
996 S. Redwood Rd.

An Officer observed a vehicle with a stolen license plate park at the listed address. The driver, Pete Salazar, 35, was stopped and detained with the assistance of back-up officers. The vehicle was found to be stolen and contained, meth, heroin, LSD, assorted other drugs, packaging, scales, and potential stolen property.

3:35 p.m.
Suspicious Death
343 S. 500 East

Officers responded to a local hospital on report of a suspicious death. An officer with Adult Protective Services requested SLCPD assistance. APS requested SLCPD investigate the death because they believed the death was a result of negligent care by a home health care provider. The victim was transported to the hospital on 9-2-20 and passed away on 9-11-20. This is an ongoing investigation.

154 W. 600 South

Witnesses stated the victim was at Club Echo when an altercation started between him and two other males. The victim went to his friend’s apartment. The two suspects showed up at the apartment. After gaining entry one of them started shooting inside the apartment. The victim attempted to leave the apartment when one of the suspects shot him twice. The first suspect was described as a white adult male in his mid-20s with shaggy blonde hair. The second suspect is described as a white adult male his mid-20s, bald and medium size. Officers located empty shell casings at the apartment. This is an ongoing investigation.
