Camping Problem/Interfering

Officers were dispatched on a complaint of a camping issue affecting a business. While they were speaking with those who were camping a female arrived and began filming officers. She repeatedly got within arms reach of officers while cursing at them. The female was cited for interfering and released.

Occupied Stolen Vehicle

Officers responded on a call of a suspicious vehicle and found a male in the driver seat. As they approached, he fled but was located a short time later. As officers attempted to take him into custody he resisted. He was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The male’s identity has not been confirmed.

Shooting

A male came to a local hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries were non-life threatening. The victim indicated he was asleep in a tent when he woke up with a burning pain in his hand. Officers were unable to locate a scene or any witnesses.

Fatal Auto Pedestrian Hit & Run

A witness reported a female was crossing main street when she was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she died from her injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

10:41 p.m.
Shots Fired
527 S. Stewart St.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 400 S. Concord Street. While checking the area an officer observed a possible suspect vehicle leaving the area. The vehicle stopped at the Stewart Street address and the occupants fled on foot. Three individuals were taken into custody without incident. Shell casings and firearms were located in the vehicle. Palm Lautaimi, 33, was booked into jail for possession of a weapon by a restricted person and discharge of a firearm. Latu Latu, 24, was booked into jail for possession of a weapon by a restricted person, discharge of a firearm and fleeing on foot. George Pupunu, 32, was booked for failure to disclose identity.

Shots Fired

Officers responded on a report of shots fired. One round struck a building, no injuries were reported. There is no suspect information.
